2013 Mar 4

Tricia Bodnar, of Schuylerville, NY, was a member of the SUNY Adirondack team of students which placed second in the inaugural Entrepreneurship Olympics March 1 at SUNY Plattsburgh.

The team competed in the Team Creativity and Innovation competition and won a prize of $500.

The students designed and marketed a new product for a company called Smart Carts.

“The team was quite excited to place ahead of the four-year institutions they were competing against,” said SUNY Adirondack Business Division Chair Nick Buttino, who accompanied the students to Plattsburgh. “I am extremely proud of their efforts, which speaks well for their preparation and overall team effort.”

Other competing teams, all four-year institutions, included students from Clarkson University, the University of Vermont, the University at Albany, Saint Michael’s College, SUNY New Paltz, SUNY Canton and SUNY Plattsburgh.
