Artwork by Jacob Houston of Greenwich, NY, was recently honored at the 120 Degree Intercollegiate Art Exhibition at the Lower Adirondack Regional Arts Council (LARAC) Gallery in Glens Falls.

Jacob earned First Place for his piece titled "The Matterhorn in Switzerland," using arcylic on board..

The awards were announced at a reception for the artists March 2 at the gallery.

The exhibition featured 68 pieces of art by students from eight colleges and universities within a 120-mile radius of Glens Falls. The work was judged by guest juror James Kettlewell.

Work by students from Union College, SUNY Plattsburgh, SUNY Oneonta, SUNY New Paltz, Skidmore College, Hartwick College and the College of Saint Rose was also featured.

The exhibition runs through March 29.
