Aimee Taylor of Saratoga Springs, NY, receives pin during SUNY Adirondack Nursing Pinning Ceremony May 10

Aimee Taylor, of Saratoga Springs, NY, was one of 45 student nurses to receive pins at SUNY Adirondack's Nursing Pinning ceremony on Friday, May 10, at the college.

The pinning ceremony recognizes those who will graduate from student nurse to graduate nurse, and the pins symbolize the care the students have for their patients.

Congratulatory remarks were given by Brian Durant, Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs at SUNY Adirondack.

The guest speaker was Jay Cotten, a December 2012 graduate of the SUNY Adirondack Nursing Program and the winner of the 2013 Chancellor's Award for Student Excellence. Student speakers were Helen Leonowitz and Misty LaCross. Several students were honored for academic excellence, clinical excellence and leadership.
